DYN-ABG
Before Schertler®, the amplification of the acoustic bass guitar meant an unbearable misrepresentation of the true sound by the use of pickups, or non-stop stress from usually unavoidable feedback and voiceover problems, and therefore the compromise of sound quality of other instruments by the use of microphones. That was yesterday. Today we have the DYN-AGB acoustic pickup for bass guitar from Schertler®- the solution to sound and handling problems for all acoustic bass guitar types.
The unique pickup technology relegates voiceover and feedback problems to the past, and, thanks to the excellent dynamics and linearity of the world-wide-patented, electrodynamic transducer, the bass guitar is reproduced faithfully and fully. This makes the DYN-AGB the most natural acoustic bass guitar acoustic pickup available on the market.
APPLICATION
The use of the DYN-AGB is extremely simple and very safe, especially for instruments where the value could be affected by a permanent installation requiring working parts of the wood. Special adhesive putty is provided to mount the pickup on the instrument body. The best location is quickly found through trial and error. The balanced signal uptake - via the XLR connector - and the low impedance of the pickup reduce the risk of hum and radio frequency interference to a minimum, even when using long cables.
The same pickup features also allow direct connection to a mixing board or amplifier input. For amplification devices with direct "Line-in" possibilities, we offer our Acoustic Preamp PRE-AII for signal boost and modulation. For the perfect reproduction of the Acoustic bass Guitar, Schertler® also offers a series of active acoustic instrument loudspeakers of best possible quality.

"The Schertler Dyn-B transducer sounds amazingly natural. There is plenty of variable control with the preamp [Pre-AII] to truly fine-tune the sound of your instrument. The pickup is simple to attach to the bass and it seems to be completely oblivious to sounds of other instruments in close proximity. When using the Dyn-B with the PUB 2/280 active loudspeaker system, my acoustic sound was incredibly duplicated." ~ Rufus Reid
